Hello! I'm a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, where I majored in Political Science and minored in both English and Communications. I recently moved to Annapolis after my wife was accepted to a college in the area. During my undergraduate I spent a majority of my time exploring the library and reading outside of my normal coursework. My main goal was to emerge from college with an understanding of the world as a whole and not just a specialist within a particular field. I read widely in the fields of politics and international relations, business, finance, economics, literature, rhetoric, public speaking, psychology, history, and philosophy. I learned a lot and want to share - that's why I'm here! My experience tutoring has been pretty extensive, although I've never done it for money. When any of my classmates needed help with a subject, whatever it would be, we would get together and go over the material. I also organized and ran many study groups during college, where I almost always ended up organizing and explaining the material. I enjoy people. I like having discussions and exploring intellectual ideas. I'm also very passionate about education and student development. I feel very fortunate for the educational opportunities I've received and feel obligated to empower the people around me. My favorite thing about teaching is when I see the student connect with a powerful idea. It sparks and lights a fire in the student, a fire that if kindled, will serve as a constant source of motivation on their search for understanding.
